About Precise Industries

Who Are We?

In 1986, “Chuck” – Charles Dehney wanted to help companies who need custom items fabricated from sheet metal. That’s why he started Precise Industries out of his Lowell, Massachusetts, home garage. In the small space where he once parked his car.

Chuck called his new company Precise Industries. After putting the word out about his new shop, he made and delivered his first order of 100 aluminum boxes. Pleased with the fabrication work and quick turn around service, client’s continued to bring their work to us and became a part of the family. Chuck’s first customer remains a customer to this day and still takes their projects to Precise Industries, because they know the job will get done right, continuing a 30 year relationship.

Under Chuck’s leadership Precise Industries grew into a precision sheet metal and machine shop that several companies use to have their custom parts manufactured. In the early days, Chuck did all the work – from answering the telephone to quoting projects …from ordering materials to shipping… from salesman to fabricator. With more customers, larger orders, more machines and nine employees, the shop outgrew Chuck’s garage. So he had to move his business into a larger space on Rock Street in Lowell.

The Precise Industries’ “Can Do” reputation for fabrication excellence and quick turn around service fueled continued growth. In 1995 Chuck expanded the shop with the purchase of an 11,000 square foot building, which remains our current location to this day, on Lakeview Ave. in Lowell. Today Precise Industries has a team of 35 employees using workflow and process programs and precision equipment… CNC machining, inspection, punching, forming, welding, spot welding, shearing, grinding and finishing, and tube and pipe programmable bending, to do the same thing Chuck set out to do back in 1986. That being creating the best quality parts you can have manufactured on the market, and do whatever we can here at Precise to meet, and exceed all of our Customers standards when it comes to the parts they have us create.

The process to become a precision machine and sheet metal shop required an extensive commitment by the Precise Industries team to learn and implement the specialized process. We worked with a consulting firm to guide the upgrade of our software and to train our management and production team in the disciplined process. The training and implementation of ISO 9001:2015  requirements improved our efficiency. It saves us time and resources because of how we manage the cost of scrap, reworks and returns, team time spent analyzing and troubleshooting products.

Our quality control process based on the disciplined requirements of the industry certifications provides our customers the precision manufactured parts they require and have come to expect from us. The confidence that companies in aerospace, defense and commercial industries have in Precise Industries is why they continue to bring their projects to us.
